Index

Welcome back, Blog Fans.  I've appreciated the use of this free site to share my adventures with family, friends and an anonymous lurker or two.  One thing that is lacking with the site, though, is a nice archive.  So, I thought I put together an index post for future reference.  It will help me and hopefully others.

Though I faded towards the end (and was fairly brief in the beginning), I am quite proud of the blog -- all 125 posts.  Sometimes the need/desire of posting something was just enough to get us over the hump and out the door to try something new.  It will serve as a nice archive of our memories.

We were very fortunate to have this experience.  It wasn't always easy, but there's not much I'd change.  I already miss it but it's time to start another chapter . . . . Take care all.

Note:  please feel free to contact me, future RR expats, if you have any questions.

  2. Hi. Found your blog while searching for train rides between Berlin and Prague a few weeks ago, so that was the first blog post I read. But I liked the blog so much, I sort of "went along" on other trips aswell. Thank you so much for sharing, you seem to have had such a great time together as a family!

This is really a nice travel blog. I do hope you keep blogging. Greetings from Sweden/Norway Malin

  3. Thanks for the kind words. We've returned to the US and won't have the opportunity to blog about life in the UK and nearby travels. Perhaps I'll start another one some day . . .

  4. Hi! Found your blog while Googling for Matlock Bath. I live in Austria now but was born and raised near Matlock so felt nostalgic reading your post. Thanks for documenting!

  5. Hi Steve, like many others on here, I was searching for info about the Peak District and liked your blog so much that I went back to the beginning and read through all of your travels. Fabulous read, very entertaining and a wonderful collection for you all to look back on. Picked up many hints for other places as well, so thank you.
